I've seem a few Used 645D's appearing over the last few months, and the prices seem to be gettting lower each time. Currently Ffordes have a body for £4999. Still way out of my league, but might be tempting to some

It would be pure indulgence for me I'm afraid. Just think how many lenses I could buy for the K-5 for that amount of money.

Only problem with having that many lenses is: by the time you have decided which lens to use the opportunity has gone!

I think Sue would notice a 645D. I'll put a red limited edition one on my Chrsitamas list and she can ignore it from there....

I do have a few lenses, but some only for specific purposes. Most of the time it's the 18-135mm WR, for exactly the reason that walkeja alludes to.

I think you're almost obliged to buy one John, then you can provide us with an in-depth review

All this is waaay out of my range, but we're there a couple of firms making digital backs for medium format cameras?

Leaf? seems to ring a bell.

Are any of those approaching affordable yet?

Not for me, that's for sure. It would be more economical to go for the 645D.
Best regards, John
