I'd be up for a meet! I'm in North Devon, near Bideford but also not far from Bude. Any suggestions as to where would be a good place?

Moretonhampstead is a better location as it is fairly central, close to the a30 and a38. main transit links.

I think that's fine here (I'll probably be told it's the in-laws' son's girlfriend's birthday party or something, 'and you've known about it for weeks!')

If it doesn't make any difference to you, it was coming to my mind that I would prefer to do on the 05/07 as I have to book thickets for a flight abroad within this sunday and I have still to decide the dates.
Is that ok? the weather forecast looks pretty much the same fro both days K20d - DA 12-24, Sigma 17-70, DA 55-300, FA 50 1/1.4, A 50 1/1.7, Sigma 105 macro My photos on Flickr Last Edited by max11 on 26/06/2009 - 18:59

OK let's call it the 5th then.
Still Moretonhampstead, unless North/East Devon don't chip in, in which case, I guess it's a Plymouth meet. Anyone in Cornwall want to come and talk lenses and photograph Janners and concrete? By the way Max11, I am coveting your macro lenses so beware an offer to swap for a day with a fisheye or something Go Everywhere Kit - K10D, DA10-17, DA16-45, FA50 1:4, DA55-300, DFA 100mm Macro, Samsung 12-24, Extension tubes, Metz 58 AF-1, GorillaPod, cheapo remote, flash remotes. Yes let's wait if anyone wants to join us...by the way...we avoided nice showers this morning
Do you want my "wanted" macro lenses? You can borrow the 12-24! and you will use it much better than me! K20d - DA 12-24, Sigma 17-70, DA 55-300, FA 50 1/1.4, A 50 1/1.7, Sigma 105 macro My photos on Flickr Last Edited by max11 on 28/06/2009 - 12:16

Exactly. I will still keep the tubes and 50 combo, because if you can get close the quality is superb. (maybe a 50mm macro instead would be the ideal way)
But I am getting really frustrated with creatures flying off the exact moment I get them in focus (they seem to know!), because I am virtually leaning on them.
