A PENTAX K-1000 FROM THE U.S?

Hi there i was about to buy a Pentax K-1000 Camera off Ebay.com but am not sure if theres any difference between our model and the one over there? Please can someone let me know

This gives the major differences in names between the cameras sold in the states to the ones here. Basically there is no difference other than the name. However, the later K1000 had some of their housings replaced by plastic and are not as good as the earlier 2 types. If you check the photo links above you will see that the Mk3 version didn't have the "ASAHI" above the word Pentax on the pentaprism. My advice would be to avoid one of these but otherwise you should have no problems. Good luck
