Hi All K20D,ers, I hope to pick your brains, having just changed from a K200D which I have really enjoyed, to the K20D, as I want to do "Tethered Shooting" and off Camera Flash. Currently I cannot get PRA to recognise the K20D, any suggestions would be very welcome.

Hi and Welcome. You might find some info in this thread

It's usually a case of playing around with the connections and switching the program and camera on/off until they find one another. After that they usually connect straight away. Probably better run from within the Browser rather than as a separate program.

If you don't have any success try a USB Hub or an Eye-Fi card.

Hi and Welcome to the Forum. If you do a forum search for "tethered" it will help.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I now have two (2) K20d's and love them both but have never tried tethered shooting so can't comment, I know you will get help from others here as witnessed by the above. Best of luck and

Cheers,

Stephen

Thanks for the Welcome and the many suggestions. I had searched for tethered, but majority of the Posts seem to assume that the connection is successful. I will continue to try, but thanks for your time.

Welcome to the forum, are you using vista or windows 7? if so you need to right hand click on the application and select run as administrator.

Hi Graham

Windows 7, and I have tried running Remote Assistant as Administrator. I have also tried starting RA from Photo Browser, and then switching the K20d on, but it sits there with PC on the screen, and no response from the shutter. Started Photo Browser as Administrator, and RA as Administrator, but still no joy. Is there any particular camera setting that RA doesn't like?

Thanks for your time, it is much appreciated.

I will try and replicate the problem on one of the work computers although I have a K10, I not totally sure what the differences are in relation to tethered shooting. Just one question do you have the 32 or 64 bit version of Windows 7?
