Saw these shots on another forum. I knew the DA40Ltd was said to be usable on full frame/film cameras, but hadn't really seen many shots with it apart from 'brick wall tests' which only showed it had soft corners with vignetting.

Looking at the shots, it seems the DA40Ltd / DA40XS lens is great for people shots on full frame - very nice sharpness and bokeh, and any edge softness/vignetting is hardly visible due to the nature of the shot (background is OOF in any case). But it falls down a bit for more distant views where the whole frame is in focus - the soft corners are clearly visible.

Not bad however, for a lens designed for APSC.

I don't mind the soft corners of the DA 40 - this is an amazing lens on film. Ultra fast focus, fantastic colour great centre sharpness (corners are not too bad either.

I did put my DA40 on my MZ-5n and saw some vignetting in the corners. Not much, but it was there. did'nt take a photo though.
However, I now have some Ilford in the camera and I fully intend to use the 40, 35 and 50-135 on it, to see what they do wide open and stopped down.
Digital - K-5, K20D, K10D, *istDS. Film - MZ-5n, MZ-50, Spotmatic F, SV.
Many lenses both K-mount and M42. Many Bags, Interfit strobes and constant. LR3 and CS6.

There might be some sample variation or possibly the situations I was using mine in - no corner darkening I could see
