I've had 2 jams recently where the focussing just won't happen, a quick turn with a jeweller's screwdriver managed to get the lenses moving again, seems in many cases it's just because of lack of use

I've set up my electronic diary to remind me to run my lenses every two weeks.

No hassle with any of my SDM lenses.

I did have similar problem with mi 16-50 where if i didnt use it on a daily bases the sdm simply refuses to work straight after i turn the camera on. After a few attempt it wake up.
So i believe that the SDM lenses will work perfectly when they are used on a daily bases.
