FS: My much loved Sigma 50-500mm DG EX f4-6.3 BIGMA - Non OS

Couple of wear marks here and there (mainly the lock switch)and a few small specks of dust (which is expected for such a large zoom lens). Has served me well over the years but I now want to buy the new HSM version.

Comes with original hood/case/front and rear caps but no box.

£500 plus postage .. which is an excellent price for this lens imo.

Crying now, got the money but SWMBO says I have to keep it for a holiday that's coming up on the 18th, I even offered not to go.

Lens sold subject to payment.

Still not sure I am doing the right thing here as I don't think the newer version will be worth another £600 .. but it has been in the back of my mind for a while now so it has to be done.

Glad it sold so quickly for you Mike - but at that price I'm not surprised.
Meanwhile I am seriously questioning your sanity .

3 days is quite slow Gwyn .. I can usually sell a lens in 24 hours

As for the price, no money around atm (as the previous 3 posts testify) but at least I didn't lose on what I paid for it 3 years ago.

The sanity thing .. yup, I probably have to agree with you there.

Lens has arrived, in great condition and superbly packed. Thanks Mike, I'll give it a good workout this weekend as I'm off to Martin Mere on Saturday and Robin Hood's Bay / Whitby on Sunday.

Best wishes

I was hoping Royal mail wouldn't deliver it until tomorrow so I could claim back the £25 special delivery charge

Glad it arrived ok David, I have taken some great pictures with the lens ... hopefully you will do likewise.
