Getting Started

Hi there folks

I've just bought my first DSLR - a Pentax K-r kit and an additional secondhand Pentax 55-300 lens. I don't have a clue what I'm doing as yet, but am hoping this forum , the OU digital imaging course I've enrolled on , and my big brother (who's a member here ) will help me to get there.

I'll upload a few images shortly, in the hopes of some gentle pointers to guide me on my way.
