Hartlepool Quays?

The quayside area in what used to be called West Hartlepool is quite compact so to extend the photographic interest it might well be worth a visit to the headland area as well, in the old part of Hartlepool, probably about a mile away. Many of the old terraced houses there are painted black and have colourful doors and window frames. And if there isn't thick fog there are extensive views across the Tees Estuary from here.

I may not be able to make the meet guys, sorry! I may be on my way home from Torquay if an unexpected chance of a holiday home comes off. Does anyone fancy the sunday instead PS: Nice shot David, I like how the height of the masts mirrors the heights of the buildings, was it deliberate? Dont Worry, Be Happy.

Its a while since I visited this conversation, good to see its still on course for Saturday March 6. (Hope you can make it Alan). The coffee shop at The Quays seems like a good place to meet. What about the time to meet? Is 10.30am OK? This would give more time for those who travel a distance, such as Northumberland or York or Leeds.
PS: Thanks for your compliment on my picture George. Don't forget the puffins Helen and Ken can bring some of his spare goldfinches along. david Photobucket http://s799.photobucket.com/albums/yy273/Davidtrout2/ K10d x2; IstDS; DA*16-50mm; DA*50-135mm; FA 70-200mm; SMC A 50mm 1.7; Sigma 10-20mm; DA18-55mm + other Pentax lenses from my film camera days which rarely get used now. OOPS, My wife has just pointed I can't be there that day. It's our grandson's first birthday party and we'll be in Halifax for that.
