Nearest I get to wildlife on my front doorstep is the occasional drunken fight outside the Red Lion pub!!

I don't get stags in the garden but I did have a 3ft tall peacock decided to live on my roof for a few days last year - made a hell of a noise walking around!
Carl No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

We have deer in the City Necropolis in the heart of Glasgow's city centre, no one has any idea how they got there. They would have had to cross the M8.

My mum lives up in Provanmill, Ken. Her house overlooks Robroyston Park, and we've seen foxes, deer, sheep, heilan' coo's, and I think recently there were reports of a wolf (although I think it's more likely to have been a "Provanmill Poodle" aka an alsatian!!)

Quote: They would have had to cross the M8 I wouldn't have thought that a problem in the small wee hours these animals generally wander about. I once spent the best part of an hour on the M25 whilst police moved some deer (smallish ones, I wasn't close enough to see, but quite fun to watch) back into a wood at about 6am Bernard

Pretty large doorstep, are they claiming the whole of the Cairngorms as theirs? I tend to regard doorstep as not requiring the igniting of petrol. Still I would love authorship of any of those shots and the Capercaillie...well that's just not fair.

I'd rather snap the fight outside the Red Lion than snap yet another lesser spotted throat warbler to the add to the collection of the millions of other shots of the lesser spotted throat warblers on the plane. Thanks Smeggy, it really was a snap shot; or as close as you can get to a snap shot with a 500mm mirror lens.
Although I've cloned it out, I discovered that sensor dust shows up as a black donut! Ken |
