What would you like Pentax to include or leave out when they replace the K20 as a “Mid Range” body?
You never know Pentax may even take up some ideas

Get proper live-view with a flippable screen! And give live-view a separate button, so you don't have to dis-engage the other preview methods.

Hmm… while they need to distance the camera from the K-7 a bit, so as not to impact on its sales, it’s hard to see which of the K-7’s main features they could plausibly leave out and remain a competitive option at £600-£800 RRP. Maybe a built in stereo mic rather than a mic socket, in line with a more ‘consumer’ spec. I guess the K-7 would remain attractive owing to it’s build quality/styling.

The only things I would like removed are the ‘art filters’!

K30D will probable be the K-7 without 100% viewfinder and the magnesium body, beside that i don't think there would be a lot of difference.
The K300D would probable be a simplified K20D like the K200D was a simpler version of the K10D.

Yes, a flip screen would be great! (Should have been on the K7!)

Nice but not so robust

Positioning the new camera below the K-7 is always going to be a challenge, quite often the the 'lower' spec camera can be equally attractive due to advancements in technology.

Olympus had this problem with the E-30 and the then recently released E-620. Both cameras over much the same but the 620 is quite a bit cheaper.
It's the image that matters

My old Fuji S9600 had a screen that flipped both ways (!!) and seemed pretty robust to me, although I admit it did stick out a bit. But I found that just gave so much extra low/high shooting options.

I'd be happier if they waited with the next body and got on with producing some more lenses. Something longer than the 300 or the 660-250 would be a start. The SDM converter too.
There are only so many features you can add to a camera after all.

One small thing I would like is a better action on the shutter button, a much more positive half press.
