Look, it's a silver FA77ltd so I'm excused ok?
I needed AF for the new Grandaughter...
I'll sell the M85/2...
I won't buy any more this year...
I have all the lenses I need now...
I'm not interested in a K-5 update...
FF has no interest...
not a problem

I watched the classic 1960 film Psycho on TV last night. Your words remind me of the conversations between Norman and his Mother .... I've been where you are, there's no escape

For any of the FA Limiteds, the term LBA does not apply , some might argue that they are required purchases for the discerning Pentax connoisseur.

Don't think of it as lens ownership, but custodianship. Why have $$$ sat in the bank, slowly being eroded by inflation and low interest rates, when you could have a lens you can use.

After struggling with LBA for many years I took a trip to Tibet, ascended the tortuous trail up the Asahiwantchu mountain, and consulted with the oldest and wisest of the sages living there. For seven days and nights we pondered LBA and at one minute to midnight on the seventh day he enlightened me with three words...............

..... "Just do it!"

Reminds me of the Procol Harum song In held 'Twas in I...
after the student spent 5 years in contemplation the guru dispensed the ultimate truth...
which was...Life is like a beanstalk, isn't it.
No mention of which lens or anything

There are other similarities with Procol Harum....

...every time I buy a star or limited lens I turn "a whiter shade of pale"
