Thought I'd better get some record shots of the Olympic Rings on the Tyne Bridge before they get taken down.

All with the K5. First one taken with the Sigma 10-20. Other two with the Sigma 24-70 f2.8

I like these very much - especially the last one. Really well executed.

Nicely done Sir! I really like the second one myself.

Nice set. Well done Alan. If I had to choose. It would be number 2 for me.

Where's the bird. Number two for me, out of a good set, as I like symmetry. Mind, you could keep the blinking eye arch and the symmetry in three by cropping out the Sage.

The third one for me Alan because it includes the Millennium Bridge and its wonderful reflection in the Tyne. Oh and also The Sage.

Thanks everyone. I wasn't 100% happy, as there was not enough light left in the sky to give the amount of separation I'd have liked between the roof of the Sage building on the left and the sky on #3.

My fault I left home early enough but got distracted by nice clouds over the sea. So, I took some poor photos on the beach before setting off to Newcastle.

Maybe a bit of PP will improve

I'm impressed by all of them having never had the time to spend the hours of darkness down the quay.

I'm intrigued as to where you stood for the last one having initially wondered why you hadn't move another few feet to your left to improve the symmetry a tad. As far as I recall the river is pretty straight/curving slightly to the south for a while and there are no more bridges.

The problem was flare Bernard. Took some shots from the perfect spot but I couldn't avoid flare from the nearby street lamps.

While I have plenty flare on #1 I don't mind that. Its the price to pay for a very different angle.

Here's one anyway. Maybe worth keeping for some PP at a later date
