I may be in the market for the above camera with a good portrait lens, and 120 film back in February is anyone thinking of selling one.

James

I have done some research and think pound for pound the medium film road is better value for money.

James, a few of us have recently sold our 645 systems to SRS, I held onto my 645 and four lenses, three backs etc. then realised it hadn't been used in three years.

Quite frankly the K20 and to a certain extent the DS beat it hands down. Lovely cameras but 'pound for pound' I traded mine for a K20.

"... I did what I always do. I tend to like my camera set to 1/125th of a second at f2.8, which is rather a slow shutter speed, and a shallow depth of field. I circled the chair running off about three rolls."

If you are serious I would buy sooner rather than later as the cost of 645 lenses may rocket when the 645D comes out. I cannot remember the name of the shop but the camera store on New Oxford Street that isn't Jessops (it is on the other side of the road) had a few for sale last time I was there.

I'll admit to lusting after a 67 but not for any great logical reason!

Best wishes, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Chris at SRS asked me if I wanted to hold onto my lenses because the price would certainly increase but I figured the K20 wasn't going to drop any further and he only had a very few left.

If it stayed at that price I'd say that was an excellent bargain, however, with a day-and-a-half to go I'd expect that auction to be finishing somewhere in the region of £500-600. I've been waiting for these cameras to drop in price for a couple of years now and it just isn't happening - if anything they've been rising in the last 6 months or so.

Well I was wrong! Ended up going very cheap and I wish I'd had a bid myself now...

Use esnipe.... much easier way to bid than staying up half the night.
