If the choice comes to downloading a pdf file or having the printed magazine. I would rather have the printed version. I view the pdf file as an extra that I would be quite happy to pay for.

It's the mag for me.
It's worth it and somehow a PDF would just not be the same. Bob

PentaxDan, if it would be a PDF how would it be then, just the same as the pages from a magazine or more interactive?
Like with links to various sites, topics discussing articles... in the end you might even think of a subscribed website where the main articles can be downloaded as PDF? I wander if you can get Pentax/Hoya so far to drop in as well, official articles and news would be nice, maybe even polls and things like that and "official" interactive direct help with problems. Sorry for suggesting some new ideas in this topic, don't want to delude it but just going from magazine format to PDF is a small simple step where the UK based members don't have anything really to gain. I too prefer the magazine as it is. For me it would be a sad day if we could only use the magazine 'on line'.
How could I manage if I wanted to read it in bed!!!! Perhaps we could have both to cater for all interests? On a dark desert highway, cool Pentax K7 in my hand. My Kit K7

I prefer the hard copy, it goes with me when waiting for appointments and is also easier to refer to a particular article because it is on the front cover.

Well yes just like the Pentax User Forum indeed but far more elaborated and good articles that comes from the staff that write the articles for the magazine now. Just read my previous comment I wrote on this page. iceblinker wrote: Kenty wrote: I too prefer the magazine as it is. For me it would be a sad day if we could only use the magazine 'on line'. How could I manage if I wanted to read it in bed!!!! That's what laptop computers are for or E-readers and iPads. I believe Amazon was thinking of offering the Kindle for free when you subscribe to an Amazon account. It would not take long before you pay a fee to a newspaper to rent an E-reader device and that you can simply download the news paper daily. When you leave from work you quickly download an update and you get all the news that happened in the morning. Stefan K10D DA* 16-50, DA* 50-135, D-FA 100 Macro, DA 40 Ltd, DA 18-55 AF-540FGZ

[quote:3496ace15f="bforbes"]I've said no for two reasons:-
1/ I like to sit and browse in comfort with a coffee 2/ I like to see the images in their glossy form. I totally agree and say NO! Regards, |
