Problems with Data Back FD on Z-1

I wasn't looking for the FD, but it came with the camera. I therefore ran a test film through using all the combos of date, time & blank. Nothing has appeared on the film.
Probably the FD's battery is on its way out, though the window display is OK. Can anyone confirm that the imprint will fail before the display? Ta David |
