Not trying to have a rival meet Barry
The British Steam Punk Community is coming to Saltaire West Yorkshire during World heritage weekend - 20th -22nd April see link On Saturday the 21st the Steampunks will be touring Saltaire during the day and the posters on the streets say they would welcome photos to be taken. I will be going as it is so close to home. Let me know if you are going and would like to meet up for coffee. Dave

On now that's interesting - may have to do this instead of the abbey - which I can do anytime as I live so close
No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more Last Edited by fritzthedog on 09/04/2012 - 18:13

Could be tempted myself, as it seems to be a one off.

Having said that the railway bridge might be a better bet. I'm sure Dave can come up with a postcode (he only lives a few minutes away) PS this will have to be a Saturday meet, I've a Christening to go to on Sunday My Names Alan, and I'm a lensaholic. For parking you are much better off on the other side of Robert's Park (walk through... cross bridge over the river...) as parking on Victoria Road (or anywhere in Saltaire village) is a nightmare!
Get the postcode for Salts Grammar School and your laughing! Also easy train route from Leeds or Keighley/Skipton side... come out of station and follow majority of other rail users on to Victoria Road (50 feet) and walk downhill to the canal (pub between canal and river called BoatHouse) ........................................................................ Hello everybody, Sorry for the delay in posting
here are some more details about the weekend.: parking in Saltaire maps, things to see etc. link ....and a link to the pdf brochure of the weekend activities, things to see etc. There seems to be a wide variety of photographic opportunities beyond the Steampunk costume displays. link The railway station is at the heart of the village with regular trains from Leeds and bradford If you would like to meet up I suggest the Victorian tearooms below salts bakery on Victoria Road. I will be there about 10.00am. Let me know if you want to meet up and I will look out for you. Other meet up suggestions welcome. If you want any more information pm me. Looking forward to seeing you Dave
