Storm tonight

We had a thunderstorm tonight. It passed over our house heading towards the sea. By the time I got to the beach I just caught the tail end

20 secs at f9. ISO 800 with the 18-135, in the pouring rain

Well caught, it certainly was a storm, although here it didn't last long.
Best regards, John

Cracking shot.

A potentially really cool pic that is totally spoiled by that hideously distracting watermark. I bet if you were a music composer instead of a photographer you wouldn't post a piece of music with a distracting voice all over it informing the listener who the copyright belongs to. So why do it with photograph?

That's some lovely colour in the clouds. Excellent shot. I'm hoping for some crashing waves on the South Devon coast this weekend.

Thanks for taking the time to look and give feedback. Its much appreciated.

Smeggy, there's no need to post about watermarks everytime one appears on the forum. Think we've all got the message. For myself, I've decided to continue regardless. Most people can see beyond a few words in the bottom left hand corner

I'm just giving feedback on images posted in the forum and would rather be honest and say what feeling I get from the image. It's not a case of seeing beyond it, it's there, like a big ugly wart, and it spoils the experience of the image for me. If you're that adamant to display your name in big letters with every image posted why not have a black bar underneath the image and place your name on that? It's unlikely anyone is going to steal the pic anyway, but and if they did they could clone out the watermark very easily anyway so I don't see what you're trying to achieve with it.

I do course respect your prerogative to display you pics on a public stage however you see fit, but at the same time a public stage gives license for all constructive criticism.
