Hi All

Had the chance to play with the old MF Vivitar 28mm f2.8 on the K5 - I love this lens on the K10 but was unsure how it may perform on the K5 - here's the evidence - I think it does well however, as always you c&c would be appreciated

Plas Newydd, Llnagollen

And then Dinas Bran, Llangollen and surrounding area,

Thanks for looking

Great shots, I think the door knocker is superb.

I've had a couple of those a long time ago (purchased new while it was still a current lens.) Optically they were both superb but both came unglued after a very short time, so be warned. The second one was a warranty replacement! In the end I got a second hand Pentax 28mm with the refund.

Hopefully for you if yours has lasted this long it might be a survivor!

Looks a competent lens, the hill shots show a lot of fine detail.

Thanks guys

This little lens always pleases me, I had confidence in it on the K10 and now on the k5 - it has survived so far - long may it continue but thanks for the warning John

Glad you like the shots - the door knocker was just crying out to be photographed - it made the choice for me

Looks a cracking lens.

As the others say, the door knocker is a bit special, but I love #6 (the second hill shot) as well.

Ah Stuey, these brought back a lot of lovely memories of when we used to stay in Llangollen. It's a lovely area.
Nice shots with this camera/lens combination. I enjoy using 28mm manual focus lenses as well. It's about as "long" as I can manage with for most days out.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thanks for the comments guys

I'm glad these prompted happy memories for you Andrew

I have to remind myself what a beautiful area we have on our door step - it's all to easy to begin to take it for granted
